My professors are people I respect and constantly talk to for questions and advice. That’s where a lot of my tuition goes, why not take advantage of that connection?
I just find it funny when they always sit next to me on the shutte bus commute. It’s somewhat annoying because I won’t get the chance to study, but funny how they don’t sit next to any other students that ride it too (probably because they know those students are scared to talk to them like a person)
Monday: Classes 8am-1pm, get textbookts from library, clinical practice 2pm-5:30pm, meeting the 3 guys of the Old Candyshop Apartment (crossing my fingers its just as nice and its sounds!)
Tuesday: Classes 9am-3pm + Mandatory DPT Class Meeting, eat and catch up on studies
Wednesday: “Wellness Day” at our Rec Center, 12:30-2:30 retake of an Evidence Based Practice Final (ugh), Dinner date with two good friends 6pm, RA Duty 7pm-7am
Thursday: lasses 8am-3pm, Drexel Housing Fair 4pm-6pm, RA Staff Meeting 9pm-11pm to set up duty assignments for the whole spring quarter (it’s gonna be a long, anxiety building one!)
Friday: Classes 8:30am-5pm, studies and catch up after
And put in more lots of “Study and Catch up” in the between parts. Oh, and eating is usually good too.
5 days of proving I know everything I was taught and deserve to continue in this program
6 days until the “Running of the Santas” in Philly celebration
7 days until our staff closes two entire buildings of freshman
8 days till I travel hometown home for the first time in over six months and spend the most glorious, deserved, and overloaded time with family . (And can actually get excited that its the Holiday season)
Let’s do this.
RA’s that don’t promote events or amp up excitement for those events.
Thats your job people.
Result = Uninvolved, bored Residents.
A Concept I’m proving to myself with the good outcome of midterms:
It was so overwhelming that I spontaneously burst into tears after seeing those numbers.
GPOYW: (Half of 16) Van/Race Staff goes to Valley of Fear for Staff Developement. The corn stalk used to protect scared co-workrs is now called the ‘Duty Stick’ edition.
Gym Time.
I wanted to actually go to Zumba 12noon on Saturday and Kickboxing at 7:30pm tonight to build up my low stamina and relieve the huge amounts of stress from Midterms this week. DENIED.
Thank you Drexel for putting me on a HOLD thats not accurate, putting it on a Friday after 5pm when I can’t visit your office about it and doing it the week I feel plumpest and ungodly stressed.
(by janadillo)
45% of my grades will be happening in three exams and two practicals next week. MY GOODNESS.
870 notes (via prettybooks & lastdaysofmagic)
caffeine withdrawl.
(Having only one cup of coffee per day, no soda and no chocolate covered espresso beans, is difficult.)
But I hate being dependent on anything. I’m going to try and lessen my intake, halfway at least, so by next week I get by with a ‘normal’ amount for the 45% of your total grade midterms.
I genuinely love and enthused in what I’m learning and the field I’m going to work in.
Made and to be taped to my door at busy times because it’s absolutely necessary. I used to be able to ‘hide’ in my single room but now I’m in a suite where my adorable, but giving out my location, suitemate actually brings residents from this building and even other buildings to me.
Let’s hope this works.
