My birthday is this thursday! (April 11th)
I’ve already been accidentally calling myself ‘23’ the last month…but this year I’m finally going out with the ‘roaring twenties’ theme. I’m so happy about this.
- Thursday: Happy Hour “Speakeasy Night” at Revolution House with a small group of good friends. Its only 1 block away from where I live.
- Saturday: Inviting a larger group of friends to my apartment around a punch bowl and theme music before heading out to go dancing somewhere diferent and fun.
What do I want for my 23rd birthday?
- Door mat
- Glass Pitcher, Punch Bowl
- Pottery Plates, Bowls, Mugs
- Espresso Machine
- Cow Milk Dispenser
- A hug from Hakeem Nicks (or even just some apparel with his name)
- Hair Curlers
- A ride in a Hot Air Balloon
Dad’s Oktoberfest birthday party went without a hitch!
My parents are such wonderful people. Everyday I am graced by everything they do for and with me.

Even though I’m two states away, everyone in my hometown knew it was my birthday…
My Mom works as one of the editors for a paper, I wonder if she gets the ad perks or pays for it. Either way, she cracks me up.

Its my Dad’s birthday today. I like to think I got my own outreach and happy go lucky qualities from him. He’s currently facebook addicted (I try to make jokes out of it) and posted this on his wall. I find it perfectly fitting.

Day 4 - Describe the best party experience you’ve had so far.
When it comes down to the nitty gritty, I’m not a huge crowd party fan. I’ve been in enough dingy basements of drunk people to find its not my thing. My favorite parties are out in the open and free, preferably in Philly’s old city area. Or I’m just all about the Happy Hour! My favorite so far was for my 21st birthday celebration at a quirky bar, National Mechanics. It was fun.

GPOYW: My marvelous Mexi Dress worn to NYC to see WICKED on Broadway (a finally used birthday gift from April!), eat lots of Cheesecake, and walk the bustling streets like pro edition.

I can’t believe I’m actually saying this for vogue.com, but for my birthday I asked for two chickens, and they arrived today. I got them a hutch in my garden and I’m really excited about them. I haven’t decided what I’m going to name them. I want to kind of name them…like, Ralph and Lauren. [X]
